Welcome to ICoNet, The Irish Coastal Network

An Encora initiative

ICoNet aims to promote good practice in coastal management by bringing together coastal practitioners, policy makers, researchers and the general public with an interest in the sustainable development of Ireland’s coast.

2008 ICoNet Conference

The 2008 ICoNet conference was jointly organised with the Northern Ireland Coastal and Marine Forum (NICMF) and held in Derry over two days in April. The conference, Planning Challenges and Opportunities for Ireland’s Coast, focused on a range of topical coastal and marine issues. The 2008 event built on the success of the 1st ICoNet conference in 2007, and provided a further opportunity for Ireland’s coastal and marine community to network and dialogue.
