Funding

The ICoNet initiative is supported through ICZM projects, including the Intereg IIIC Copranet project, the Intereg IIIB Corepoint project, and the FP6 ENCORA project. It is further supported by the Coastal and Marine Research Centre, University College Cork, which acts as the ICoNet secretariat. Additional sponsorship and contributions in kind have been provided in support of ICoNet activities. For example the first ICoNet conference was sponsored by the Marine Institute and the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources.
